About Us

Appliance Repair TrainingThe White Goods Training Academy was set-up to help fill the skills gap that exists in this sector. The aim is to increase understanding and knowledge of current appliances, fault finding, diagnosis and repair to enable newly qualified appliance service engineers to start their new career with confidence.

What makes us unique to any other Domestic Appliance Service Training Center?

Not only will you learn high level technical information in a class room setting of ALL Domestic White Goods, helping you to understand the theory behind components and their testing. You will have the opportunity to transfer that newly gained knowledge to the workshop where you will gain hands on experience working on a variety of current appliances and using different testing equipment. There will also be the opportunity to visit live jobs with an engineer in the afternoon, this has proved to be an invaluable part of the learning process – as you have an opportunity to put what you have learned into practice under the supervision of an engineer. Experience in the field is what all employers are looking for as this demonstrates competence and your ability to work under pressure.

We have noted that some of our competitors have dumbed down this important aspect of your training, please don’t be fooled by their dismissal. All the major manufacturers use this method because it works. We think the reason they are trying to dismiss it as unimportant is because they aren’t able to facilitate this training method.

All the skills you learn for testing and repairing Washers, Tumble Dryers and Dishwashers can be transferred to Ovens, Microwaves and Fridge Freezers, and that’s why these can be easily included these in our Professional Domestic Appliance Training Courses.

Unlike other training providers that retired from working in the field decades ago, our trainer owns a busy repair company and continues to ply his trade as a White Goods Service Engineer, (the old adage – ‘those that can’t do, teach’ comes to mind) Because we both repair and teach, we feel this puts us in the best position to provide up to date and relevant training, as we know what issues affect the market and can pass that priceless information onto you.

For those wanting to start out on their own, we will show you how we market ourselves, pricing and where we buy from at trade prices. This will give you a massive head start on anyone not coming through our renowned Domestic Appliance Service Engineers Training program.

For those looking for employment, due to the high level of competency most of our newly trained engineers have – we have a couple of recruitment companies who specialise in White Goods Service Engineers looking to talk to you.

Our Domestic Appliance Training course will enable you to repair washing machines, dishwashers, tumble-dryers, microwaves, ovens and fridge freezers with confidence.

Every home owns at least three of these appliances, the potential to make a good living out of this industry is huge.
